The Transport Tracking Associate is responsible to manage daily transport tracking activities for Airbus FHS focusing on routine and critical transports with worldwide customer, supplier and warehouse bases, to ensure optimized transport lead time and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and provide up-to-date shipment statuses for in-transit shipments for all legs to all stakeholders, ensuring high levels of reactivity and accuracy.
  • Detect and resolve transport discrepancies in a timely manner, including decision making based on urgencies and cost impact, and escalation when necessary.
  • Challenge the transport service providers to respect their commitments including transport lead times, data quality, provision of shipping documents, reactivity, and shipment status updates.
  • Identify, analyze, manage, and follow up transport issues in daily operations to avoid further time lost in the supply chain.
  • Identify any shipment losses and damages, obtain all necessary evidence, and initiate claims to the Transport service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations (export control, customs, dangerous goods regulations etc). Facilitate applications of the relevant permits including preparation of End-User Statements, permit application forms as applicable and follow up with the relevant parties including the authorities whenever necessary.
  • Manage transport quotes based on existing processes, make decisions with full consideration of urgency and transport costs, and consider alternate transport solutions to reduce transport costs.
  • Provide adequate reporting to the team leader and manager as required.
  • Manage customer on-site stock initial fill and incremental stock activities, Hong Kong trade declaration activities, major pool transfer activities, manage transport abnormal status within Transport perimeter and other specific activities as directed.
  • Provide support to the Transport operations team and assist the team leader and managers as directed.
  • Background and Skills

    • Min. Education: Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Aviation/Aeronautics/Astronautics), Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
    • Min. Experience: 3 years relevant experience in transport management/freight forwarding industry or similar.
    • Special projects, technical skills, or certifications: Dangerous goods, export control & customs regulation and handling. Understanding on multi-modal transportation especially air freight, integrator services and associated incoterms. Knowledge on commercial aviation is a plus.

    Other Qualifications/Skills:
