Operations Manager [New Factory / Food Manufacturing]

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall operations of the factory, including production, quality control,
  logistics, and maintenance.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and systems to optimize
  production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to all food safety, health, halal and regulatory compliance standards
  (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO, Halal certifications).
• Manage the setup and commissioning of the new factory, including coordination with
  suppliers, contractors, and government authorities.
• Oversee resource allocation and manage labour, materials, and equipment to ensure
  timely production and delivery.
• Lead and motivate a diverse team, providing training and development to ensure high
  performance.
• Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Japan teams to align
  production goals with overall business objectives.
• Manage the budget for the operations department and ensure cost control measures are
  in place.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product
  quality.
• Handle troubleshooting and problem-solving for any operational challenges that arise.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Requirements

[Must]

• 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the
  food manufacturing industry especially Production and Quality Control functions
• Proficiency in Food Engineering / Science
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and
  industry best practices
• Proficiency in production management software, ERP systems, and MS Office tools
• Proven track record of managing a team and complex operations in a manufacturing
  environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

[Advantage]

• Experience in setting up and commissioning a new manufacturing facility is highly
  preferred
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational improvement
  methodologies
