Job Description:

  • Involve in developing, implementing, reviewing and updating standard operating procedure (SOP), quality management policy, systems, and documents related to Halal and food safety standards.
  • To manage the documentation and implementation of GMP, HACCP and Halal Control System in the production process. Responsible for maintaining inspection test records, monthly report and quality analysis reports e.g. HACCP, Halal & etc.
  • Provide in-house training to production workers on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate with team members to handle internal & external audits, cross departmental audits, preparation of audits and produce audit report.
  • Liaise with external lab on microbiological analysis, shelf-life test, nutritional fact analysis and others test as required by company's standards and customers’ requirement.
  • Work closely with R&D department on establishing and implementing documentation for new products testing and development. Produce and present report detailing the procedure and outcome of testing done.
  • To manage all documentation, data entry and daily operational arrangement pertaining to production. To be responsible for ensuring timely and effective execution of task.
  • Carry out weekly stock taking of production related goods. Consistently keep track and make sure all production related goods are at sufficient level to enable effective order forecast.
  • Purchase production related goods. Constantly managing relationships with supplier/vendor to ensure timely & cost-effective acquisition of goods. Conduct research to identify new or more reliable suppliers and to ensure cost are under control.
  • Responsible for all production administrative work, attendance reporting, calendars and claims for production department staff & operators.
  • Calculate and record daily production output and OT for production staff & operators.
  • Run errands related to production department when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field of studies.
  • Candidate with 2years of experience in quality assurance within the food processing industry will be prioritized.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., JAKIM, BKKM).
  • Possessed strong work ethics
  • Proficiency in using quality control tools and equipment.
