Manager - IT System & Network (Head Office, KL)

Job Description

• Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and servers to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
• Configure and monitor services such as virtual machines, storage, and networking, to meet business needs and performance requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting network and related issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives, providing technical expertise and guidance on network and system-related matters.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring network and cloud services are resilient and recoverable in the event of disruptions.
• Provide technical support and assistance to subordinate, end-users, assist in resolving issues related to network connectivity, cloud services and IT systems.
• Responsible for imparting existing knowledge for the upcoming cloud project.
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for IT system and network initiatives, including product selection, procurement, project proposal, implementation and maintenance.

Job Requirements

• Degree in any IT related field.
• At least 6 or 7 years of hands-on experience in IT system administration and network management, encompassing proficiency in managing cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated expertise in deploying, configuring and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers and switches.
• Proficiency in virtualisation technologies such as VMware, with the ability to manage and optimize virtualised environments.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting network/system issues and implementing effective solutions to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Expertise in cloud platforms e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud platform or Private Cloud setup, with a strong command of cloud services encompassing virtual machines, storage, networking and security. Demonstrated proficiency in designing, implementing and managing hybrid cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability and cost-effectiveness across both private and public cloud infrastructures.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on documentation and maintaining accurate records, ensuring comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes and procedures.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and environments, with a continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to the success of IT initiatives.
