QUANTITY SURVEYOR

• Location: Uniformwork Technology Sdn. Bhd., Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Minyak, 14100 Simpang Ampat, Penang
• Full-time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm)
Saturday (8:30am - 12:30pm)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to building projects, ensuring they are completed within budget. You will be involved in pre-contract and post-contract activities and provide advice on procurement strategies while maintaining effective communication with clients, contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Taking off quantity, preparation of BQ, calling for quotation, and coordinating the subcontract procurement process.
• Preparation of documentation required for contract binding.
• Prepare pre-contract & post contract for projects undertaken, not limited to product sourcing, request and review of quotations.
• Coordinate with labour & sub-contractors on the contract requirements / site condition prior to commencement of work.
• Handle site valuation, site measurement, progress claims, variation and final account.
• Remain updated for project progress.
• Involve in tendering submission
• Be able to work closely and liaise with the design team, architectural and operation team.
• Perform any related ad-hoc tasks assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Candidates must possess at least a Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Certificate in Building or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 year(s) working experience in a development / construction company.
• Fresh Graduates are welcome as long as you are willing and ready to learn.
• Good organisation and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Independent, positive attitude, self-motivated, aggressive, and good discipline.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin.
• Required Skill(s): Microsoft Office, Project Documentation & Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Willing to travel and handle site matters when necessary.
• Possess own transport.
