National Institutes of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM) established on 27 January 2012 is a consortium of national biotechnology institutes under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) operating as a Company Limited by Guarantee to carry out research, development, innovation and commercialization of modern biotechnology. The consortium consists of three institutes which is the Malaysian Agro-Biotechnology Institute (ABI) in Serdang, Selangor, the Malaysian Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Institute (IPharm) in Gelugor, Penang, and the Malaysia Genome and Vaccine Institute (MGVI) in Bangi, Selangor. NIBM invites qualified, experienced, dynamic, and work-ready individuals to join our organization for the following positions:
Have the ability to perform the following tasks:
Provide engineering assistance to assure plant, machinery and processes are at optimum level; Involved in development, implementation and maintaining of engineering related SOP, documentation and record that is compliant to regulatory requirement; Ensure preventative maintainance is performed for machinery and utilities is as to internal and external compliance; Identify and troubleshoot machinery/utilities problem and implement corrective action; Involved in internal audit, external audit and cross functional investigation; Must be able to interpret and explain drawing of engineering diagrams; Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes; Ensuring all engineering activities is completed in timely manner, within budget and specifications; and Involved in validation and qualification of machinery and utilities. Qualifications and Experience:
Malaysian citizens; The minimum qualification of a Degree in Engineering in related field and recognized by the Malaysian government from a local or foreign higher education institution or a qualification recognized as equivalent; At least 2 years working experience in engineering and maintainance position GMP manufacturing facility added advantage if from pharmaceuticals related; Strong technical knowledge in engineering principles and able to resolve technical issues; Familiar with GMP requirements and change control system; Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and project time management skills; Able to work independently and as a team as well; Adaptable, versatile and fast learner as maybe involved with dealing in different engineering scenarios; and Added advantage if worked in aseptic manufacturing facility or area.
