Job Summary:

MSR Green Energy, a leading innovator in the renewable energy sector, is dedicated to advancing Malaysia’s sustainable energy future. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Safety Supervisor on a two (2) year contract basis to ensure that our projects are executed in a safe and compliant manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to workplace safety and a minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally in the solar or construction industries. As a Site Safety Supervisor, you will be pivotal in ensuring that all safety protocols and regulatory requirements are met, and you will foster a strong safety culture across all project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce a comprehensive site safety plan covering hazard analysis, risk mitigation, and emergency response strategies
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Lead safety orientations and training sessions for site personnel, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure thorough understanding of safety protocols
  • Collaborate with project management teams to ensure that safety measures are integrated into project planning and execution
  • Investigate any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent future occurrences
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring all necessary safety documentation, permits, and approvals are obtained and maintained
  • Cultivate a proactive safety culture by encouraging the reporting of safety concerns and promoting continuous safety improvements across the site
  • Oversee the allocation and maintenance of personal protective equipment (“PPE”) and ensure proper signage is in place at all project locations

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A minimum Diploma in Safety Management, Environmental Health, or a related field
  • At least three (3) years of experience in safety management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and practices applicable to construction and renewable energy projects
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and safety training sessions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence teams to adhere to safety protocols
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to safety, with the ability to identify and resolve potential safety issues swiftly
