Job Title: Purchasing Specialist/Procurement Specialist

Location: Bandar Tenggara, Johor

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

1. Raw Material and Equipment Procurement:

  • Manage the purchasing of raw materials, packaging materials, non-production materials & equipments;
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and efficient procurement of resources to meet production needs.

2. Supplier Management:

  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with local & international suppliers;
  • Identify & engage potential suppliers, negotiate terms & evaluate suppliers performance regularly to ensure the best quality & cost.

3. Cost and Contract Negotiation:

  • Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing, favorable contract terms & timely delivery;
  • Continuously monitor the market to obtain cost-effective sourcing solutions.

4. Inventory and Order Management:

  • Manage the inventory of procured items to avoid shortages or excess stock;
  • Track order status, ensure timely deliveries & handle any delays or issues.

5. Compliance and Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all purchased goods meet the company’s quality standards;
  • Follow company policies & regulatory requirements in procurement activities.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Diploma or above in Supply Chain Managements, Business or related fields.

2. Skills:

  • Proficiency in using computer systems for procurement tasks;
  • Strong negotiations, communications & organizational skills.

3. Experience: Experience in Procurements, Sourcings & Supply Chain Managements is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks;
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.

Work Conditions:

  • Office-based role with occasional visits to suppliers or vendors.
