Product Development Engineer (BDD)

Responsibilities:

• Utilize customer design concepts or detailed drawings/specifications to ensure manufacturable design, complete necessary documentation, lead New Product Introduction (NPI) process and issue production release

• To study DFM from mould/jig maker and communicate with Customer for approval

• Evaluate feasibility of manufacturing new and revised customer products

• Review, develop, modify and release technical documentation including mechanical drawings, schematics, bill of materials, PPAP submissions, and inspection procedures through the engineering change notification system

• Coordinate the development, prototyping, and initial production of products

• May support senior product development engineer / Manager on complex product development and NPI projects

• Communicate technical details of products with customers and to internal engineering/production staff

• Manage project deadlines to achieve on-time documentation of product specifications, customer approval of sample submission, and production launch

• Review 2D and 3D part and assembly drawings

• Maintain clear and prioritized task list for all project details using project management software

• Serve as technical and NPI schedule contact with customer

• Conduct testing/validation of prototypes and completion of internal and customer qualification requirements

• Investigate alternate materials, processes or coatings for improved functionality, quality and/or cost

• Implement ISO/IATF compliant processes for NPI

• Sustaining support of parts in production via customer-driven or manufacturing-driven change management and technical resolution of quality issues

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (preferred Engineering in Mechanical or Manufacturing)

• Experience in Injection Molding & Spray Process (min 2~3 yrs)

• Experience in Product Development (min 2~3 yrs)
