What role you will play in the team
ExxonMobil is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to provide Geoscience technical support and expertise to its oil and gas development projects and production operations. The candidates will be responsible for working with multi-discipline teams, leveraging applied reservoir modelling skills to support field development planning, mature field opportunity generation, carbon capture & storage, technology development and strategic projects.
What you will do
Individuals will provide integrated reservoir modeling support to global asset teams in the following areas:
- Improving resource description through model updates, developing/maintaining workflows, volumetrics, and calibration to dynamic data
- Conducting opportunities screening, run scenarios and quantify uncertainty to support development/depletion planning and production optimization opportunities
- Developing and/or leveraging new reservoir modeling technologies to support business solutions.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results through a multi-discipline team. Demonstrated teamwork and effective communication skills are essential. Technical skill requirements are as follows:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics or Earth Sciences; with 3-10 years of experience in upstream oil and gas
- Strong computational and analytical skills; industry experience working integrated reservoir modeling projects
- Expert-level Petrel software user; knowledge of reservoir simulation and other modelling software would be an advantage
- Competency in integrated seismic interpretation, subsurface mapping, opportunity generation and prospect evaluation.
