Your Mission

  • Statutory Reporting: Assist in the preparation and execution of the Group's statutory reports, including the Integrated Report and Sustainability Report, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Communication Strategy: Support the development and coordination of communication strategies that align with SDP's business objectives. Stay updated on industry and financial trends and global issues to assess their impact on communication plans.
  • Project Management Support: Provide assistance as part of the Project Management Office/Secretariat for various key projects assigned to Group Communications, including liaising with external agencies/consultants when necessary.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate engagements with senior leadership, including Group townhalls, to foster transparent and effective communication.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Assist in enhancing engagements with targeted stakeholders, such as internal teams, international organisations, NGOs, government agencies, and more. Identify potential platforms and events to promote the Company's leadership position.
  • Reporting: Assist in managing the reporting function for Group Communications by providing comprehensive reports for the Board, Plantation Leadership Committee, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Visits: Support the organisation and management of visits by key stakeholders, overseeing content, programming, and planning.
  • Email Inbox Management: Efficiently manage the Department's email inbox by ensuring timely responses and prioritizing communication in alignment with the Group's strategic objectives.
  • Business Continuity: Assist in the management of the Business Continuity Plan, including participation in Table-Top Tests and other relevant activities.
  • Awards and Memberships: Assist in managing corporate awards submissions and memberships, identifying opportunities for recognition, and enhancing SDP's industry standing.
  • Policy and SOPs: Collaborate in the management and updates of department policies, guidelines, risk registers, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Content Collaboration: Work closely with the content team to ensure the alignment of communication materials with the overall content strategy.
  • Brand Coordination: Collaborate with the brand team to maintain brand consistency in communication materials and initiatives. Coordinate communication needs for studio and production projects, ensuring messaging and reporting are integrated effectively.
  • Event Support: Assist the events team in planning and executing events, where required.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications, with a strong background in project management and programme implementation.
  • Experience in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams on multiple timelines and complex, cross-functional projects is essential.
  • Knowledge / understanding of global trends, business direction and strategy.
  • Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in corporate business operations, including content management, brand coordination, events, and reporting, will be a valuable asset in this role.
