Job Summary

Reporting to the Draft Manager, the CAD/BIM Technician is responsible for the development, preparation and quality assurance of floor plan drawings using a variety of different softwares. Primarily the CAD/BIM Technician will be using Planitar's proprietary software called Draft but will also be proficient in other CAD softwares such as Autodesk's Revit and Verisk's estimating Xactimate. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-motivated individual with expertise using various CAD softwares, experience in a field related to engineering or design, and a keen eye for detail. Successful candidates will be provided training on Planitar’s proprietary software Draft through iGUIDE Academy, a Learning Management System (LMS). Upon completion of training and proven performance, additional opportunities in other specialties of the Drafting Department will become available.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Create iGUIDE Floor Plans using Planitar’s proprietary software, Draft, for Residential, Commercial & Insurance Restoration Clients.
  • Create 3D Isometric Models using Autodesk’s software, Revit, for Interior Design & Virtual Staging Clients. Choosing design features such as furnishings, materials, and artwork.
  • Create Architectural Floor Plan Packages using Autodesk’s software, Revit, for Architecture, Construction & Engineering Clients.
  • Quality Assurance and Plan Review for iGUIDE Virtual Tours, CAD Packages & 3D Models.
  • Address and report issues that may surface during production to the Shift Leader.
  • Participate in cross-functional, continuous improvement initiatives as the opportunity presents itself.
  • Complete other tasks outside of drafting floor plans such as AI annotations, marketing research, information gathering, cases studies, etc.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Obtained or currently working towards a degree or diploma in architectural engineering or interior design.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ Experience using BIM software such as Revit.
  • Experience using CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
  • Experience working in Residential and/or Commercial Construction/Design.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to meet tight and changing deadlines.
  • Advanced computer navigation skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking and time management techniques.
  • Detail-Oriented and Well-Organized.
  • Proactive and Solutions-Driven.
  • Must be amenable to work On-site in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Must be amenable to work on Day shift.

Schedule:

  • 5 Day Continuous Work Week
  • 9 hour shifts, including lunch and breaks
  • Available to work weekend shifts
  • Available to work Local & Canadian Holidays

Experience:

  • Revit: 1-3 years

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
