Tasks & responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate records of transactions such as accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and petty cash.
- Verifying, recording, and processing invoices from suppliers.
- Ensuring accuracy in amounts, due dates, and authorization for payments.
- Managing customer payments (accounts receivable) and following up on overdue invoices.
- Ensuring that financial records are accurate and in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
- Organizing and filing documents such as invoices, receipts, and bank statements.
- Answering inquiries regarding financial information.
- Performing other clerical duties such as filing, typing, and document handling.
