Job Summary:

The Warehouse and Logistics Clerk is responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse and ensuring efficient and accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role involves inventory management, coordinating shipments, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Update inventory management system with accurate data.

2. Shipping and Receiving:

  • Prepare and process orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling.
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Verify and document the receipt of goods, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

3. Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and receipts.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
  • Ensure all documentation is filed and easily accessible.

4. Quality Control:

  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
  • Ensure products are stored and handled according to quality standards.
  • Implement corrective actions for any quality issues identified during inspections.

5. Warehouse Organization and Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure that all warehouse equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Follow and enforce safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

6. Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about inventory levels, shipping schedules, and any issues that arise.

7. Reporting:

  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, order status, and shipping activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving warehouse operations and efficiency.

8. Support Logistics Operations:

  • Assist in planning and implementing logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.

Qualifications:

  • High school SPM/STPM, Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and inventory management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM2,000.00 per month
