Assist the Chief Executive/HOD to provide leadership, strategic and operational direction within the college, developing a strong team generating a continuously improving customer focused environment that delivers the highest quality and standards of service and innovation, and effective business process.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Executive/HOD in providing strategic direction on the overall campus development and operations.
  • Lead the administration and support teams, including schools.
  • Hold portfolio responsibility for student services and academic services including examinations.
  • The liaison person and responsible in relation to Malaysia government requirement, such as Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia Qualification Agency and the Private Higher Education Institutions Act.
  • Work closely with Head of Schools for collaboration with relevant industry(s) for students' internship/placement, as industry academic advisor etc.
  • To oversee the daily operations and staff performance management of Admissions and Records, Examination Office including planning and coordination a variety of technical and clerical duties such as admission, enrolment, reporting, student records keepings, conferment of certificate etc.
  • To source and maintain the usage of the computerized college student information system, initiate enhancement, analyze data and prepare report on student statistics.
  • To manage the administration of examinations and to provide advise regarding examination policies and procedures.
  • To contribute to college's strategic plan, collaborate in planning, design, development and execution of new projects/products, and enhancements to existing products.
  • Act as liaison person with the relevant departments on forward planning concerning recruitment, progression and attrition of students.
  • Working closely with Academic Dean to develop effective processes of academic governance ensuring compliance with college's policies and procedures, MOHE and MQA requirements and other quality assurance processes.
  • Ensuring all courses are approved and accredited by the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA), MOHE and other relevant bodies, if required.
  • Ensuring all compliance, enquiries and correspondences are attended to successfully.
  • Responsible for organizing convocations and other college's official events.
  • To assist in providing the safest possible environment for customer and employees
  • To perform any other duties as requested by the Superior.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Preferably experience in a managerial role within the education sector, registrar experience and with a strong understanding of college operation.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Has initiative, creative, driven and highly compliant to regulatory bodies
  • Passion for the education field
  • People and technologically savvy
