Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages students' academic and social development. This role involves planning, implementing, and assessing lessons that cater to a range of abilities, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to achieve their potential.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare Scheme of Work, Lesson Plans, Assessment Papers and Results Slips.
- Preparing and delivering lessons that are stimulating, active and effective.
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and resources to enhance students learning.
- Ensuring appropriate resources and consultation times are available to students.
- Manage classroom behaviour, and discipline effectively, fostering respect and responsibility among students.
- Keep abreast with the latest teaching pedagogy and technologies to enhance the quality of teaching & learning.
- To ensure that the lessons and course work are delivered in a timely manner and that they are up to standard of an International School.
- Responsible for the preparation and marking of work to facilitate positive student development.
- To ensure effective classroom management, implement disciplinary measures in accordance with the established school policy and regulations.
- Participate in social, cultural activities and school events and work closely with organizing committee to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Create a positive learning environment and ensure continuous progress and development of students.
- Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate student's understanding and application of concepts. Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, workbook, quizzes etc.
- Ensure continuous improvement and development of each students and the school as a team member.
- Assessing and tracking student progress: Teachers use a variety of assessments, such as tests and observations, to track students progress and to identify areas where they need additional support.
- Supporting student activities including extracurricular activities and any other activities as required by the management.
- Any other duties that may assigned by the Management from time to time including school, organizational, staff events and projects.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree / Master's Degree in Education / Teaching or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of working experience as a Teacher in an International School with knowledge of the Cambridge British syllabus.
- Teacher with the ability to teach Primary ICT / Science / Visual Arts / Performing Arts & Secondary Business Studies
- PC literate and able to use multi-media resources in the classroom.
- Excellent proficiency in English both spoken and written. Other languages an additional plus point.
- Passionate about education, patient, willing to learn, adaptable & loves learning/teaching children.
- Highly responsible, dedicated, hardworking and a team-player.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Petaling Jaya.
