PROJECT MANAGER

JOB REQUIREMENTS - Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; - Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken). - At least 10 year(s) of relevant working experience in construction - Experience with JKR - Strong problem solving skills; - Able to work independently with minimum supervision; - Positive attitude, able to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment; - Demonstrate good team work skills and maintain a strong team spirit with all relevant parties; - Willing to work on the site; - Willing to on-call and work on weekends and holidays when required; JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and prepare project reports to management and client on a timely basis - Evaluation and solution of potential site problems to project manager - Prepared and monitored monthly progress with sub-contractors and project team to ensure project progress on schedule - Liaise and coordinate with consultant and sub-contractors for all site matters - Liaise with client on their requirements - Participate in monthly site progress meeting with client, consultant coordination meeting and sub-contractors coordination meeting - Coordinate with consultants for liaison with authorities to ensure all relevant authorities approval will be obtained on time - Completing the work program using Microsoft Project Professional for client approval - Produce work program up to level 7 base on work breakdown structure - To ensure all tasks are linked according to logic (predecessor and successor) with critical path method and fix duration - To ensure complete scope of works is included in the work program with proper work breakdown structure and manageable detailed activities - Identify and ensure all important project milestones and constraint are taken into consideration and included in the work program - Analyze validity of schedules submitted by sub-contractor and supplier contributing to the project in conjunction of project master program - Monitor actual progress against baseline and produce monthly project schedule tracking for management reporting purpose - To ensure correct information-from key person of project team are updated - Review and check the sub-contractors monthly progress reports and tracking of work program to ensure work done on schedule - Close monitoring of critical path activities, identify activities deviated from schedule and to management if any action to be followed - Simulate the impacts on schedule when there is change in activities or client requirement - Analyze and report productivity and trends when necessary for management decision making - Produce catch-up program when there is delays in baseline work program
