Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Management Lecturer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hotel management and hospitality with a passion for teaching and inspiring students. This role involves preparing and delivering lectures, guiding students through practical exercises, and contributing to curriculum development to ensure our programs align with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions on hotel management topics, including but not limited to front office operations, housekeeping, food and beverage management, hospitality marketing, and financial management in the hospitality sector.
  • Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and exams, to reflect current industry practices and trends.
  • Evaluate and assess students' performance through tests, assignments, presentations, and practical assessments.
  • Provide mentorship and academic support to students, offering guidance on industry careers and opportunities.
  • Participate in curriculum development, reviewing and recommending new materials, resources, and teaching techniques.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in hotel management and hospitality to enhance course content.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and administration to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience for students.
  • Contribute to research projects, seminars, workshops, and other academic activities to promote industry knowledge and skill-building.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in hotel management or hospitality.
  • Prior teaching experience in higher education is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to student success.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with industry software and tools used in hotel management.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in the hospitality industry, including sustainability, customer experience, and technology.
  • Ability to conduct and supervise research within the field of hospitality management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
