Kinabalu North Shipyard & Maritime Sdn Bhd Assistant Finance Manager Job Description: The Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in managing and leading the finance department of the Company. This role requires overseeing the financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and implementing sound financial practices. The Assistant Finance Manager report and work closely with the Finance Manager to drive financial strategies and provide insights that support the business goals the Company. Key Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting: Preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies include present monthly and annual financial reports to the Finance Manager and senior management. • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. • Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring all financial information is accurate and timely. • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal Financial Regulations, Company Act and Income Tax Act. • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of financial strategies with business objectives. Job Requirements: • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Professional Certification: Hold a valid MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accountants) certificate or equivalents are an added advantage • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or as an Assistant Finance Manager. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and leading a finance team. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely. • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting. • Integrity: Demonstrated ability to act with integrity and uphold ethical standards in financial management. • Only Malaysian candidate will be considered.
