Senior Purchasing Executive (Bakery)

Job Description - Research reliable and potential suppliers to meet company’s requirements - Responsible on Purchase Requisitions, Quotation and issuance of Purchase Order. - Tracking orders, ensure timely deliveries and quality of purchased products. - Conducting market research & market trend to source on potential products. - Analyzing and calculating purchasing costs and developing cost reduction strategies. - Negotiating and managing contracts with vendor, including costs and terms of supply, service, quality, timelines, etc to ensure the best deal. - Developing and working to improve purchasing processes. - Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. - Monitoring inventory control to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management. - To follow-up with suppliers for any issues regarding late delivery, quality, quantity and unit price discrepancy. - Ensure documents for the relevant business transaction are properly managed for payment submission. - Provide support in other areas of procurement and assist in ad hoc projects as and when required. Requirement - Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Management or related discipline. - Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience. - Preferably specialize in purchasing / inventory / material and warehouse management or equivalent. - Preferably candidate with experience in retail pharmacy's supply chain and distribution. (For phamacy vacancy) - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. - Strong analytical skills and organizational skills. - Effective negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with Microsoft Excel. - Desire to learn attitude and able to work independently and as part of a team.
