Executive / Senior Executive, Store Designer

Job summary and mission

The primary role of store designer is to combines the efficient and functional use of space with an understanding of aesthetics by producing professional technical detailed drawing while honouring budget, schedule and operational requirements of all the Berjaya Group Berhad brand projects.

Summary of key responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Design Development: -

(A) SITE SURVEY PACKAGE:

- Obtains, Collates and analyses all necessary resources before design input, including site survey/ measurement and design schedule

- Co-ordinate and facilitate communication between relevant parties involved in the design process to ensure all designs meet design standards/ guidelines and expectations of clients.

(B) SCHEMATIC & DESIGN INTENT PACKAGE :

- Assist in schematic design space planning with operational knowledge and conceptual 3D design visual presentation.

(C) DETAILED DRAWING:

- Develop detailed technical construction documents not be limited to technical interior architecture details (carpentry & metal works) with strong M&E knowledge.

- Sourcing in trend architectural materials (wood, stone, metal) in supporting studio and Starbucks AP

(For example : liase with supplier in updating material library)

(D) FURNITURE & ARTWORK LISTING :

- Sourcing all loose furniture and lightings, at the same time co-ordinate with suppliers, clients while meeting the budget.

Project Development: - (BQ & CONSTRUCTION)

• Co-ordinate with construction team (internal & external) and real estate in design related matters, including meeting with landlord for design approval or contractors for clarifications during tender or construction period in order to meet the deadline of the project.
• Constantly assess changing schedules and priorities to ensure assigned responsibilities are coordinated with all relevant persons/ parties and completed within schedule.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia or equivalent.
• 2-3 year of working experience with design firm/ agency or interior design department. Fresh graduate is welcome to apply
• Experienced and able to design visual presentation and display.
• Excellent in operating necessary softward, example AutoCad/ 3DMax/ SketchUp Pro/ etc (Mac OS system is added advantage)
• Strong understanding and knowledge in Arts & Design.
• A team player with creative problem-solving and organization skills.
• Pleasant personality and possess good communication skills.
• Independent, able to prioritize and meet deadlines within short time frames
