The Projects & Engagement Principal Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Strategy & ESG Office in overseeing a portfolio of ESG projects across PayNet, including PayNet Cambah. This position involves managing ESG initiatives from inception to completion, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and fostering a culture of ESG awareness and commitment throughout the organization. The Projects & Engagement Principal Specialist also collaborates with the ESG Reporting team to monitor and mitigate ESG-related risks, providing guidance and support to divisions on the suitability and assessment of ESG projects.

Key Areas Of Responsibilities

  • ESG Project Management:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of a portfolio of ESG projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress to deliver project milestones and outcomes effectively.
  • Develop project charters, work plans, and performance metrics to monitor project success and impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including communities, partners, regulators, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to garner support and participation in PayNet's ESG projects.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering a sense of shared purpose and collective action.
  • ESG Risk Management:
  • Collaborate with the ESG Reporting team to identify, assess, and mitigate ESG-related risks across PayNet's operations and initiatives.
  • Monitor emerging ESG trends, regulatory changes, and stakeholder expectations, proactively addressing potential risks and opportunities.
  • Cultural Change and Awareness:
  • Champion ESG principles and values within PayNet, driving cultural change and fostering a sense of ownership and accountability for ESG performance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns to educate employees and stakeholders on the importance of ESG and their role in advancing sustainability goals.
  • Advisory Support:
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to divisions and business units on the identification, development, and implementation of ESG projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the suitability and feasibility of proposed ESG projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, or sustainability roles, with a focus on ESG integration and impact assessment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Solid understanding of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting guidelines (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and their application to project management and risk assessment.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
