Key Responsibilities

- Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance on technical approaches, project execution, and career development.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to identify business opportunities where data science can provide significant value.
- Drive innovation in AI and ML applications, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy compliance across all data science projects and initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders, influencing strategic decision-making.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external vendors, academia, and research institutions to foster innovation and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience (5-10 years) in a senior leadership role within a data science or analytics function.
- Expertise in Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong background in developing and deploying AI/ML models at scale, with proficiency in languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Demonstrated success in leading and scaling high-performing data science teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business outcomes through data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in financial services, telecommunications or fintech industry is a plus.
