Hot Kitchen Section Head oversees a team of subordinates and supervises the daily operations of his/her assigned production line. He/she ensures that production targets for the line are met and food products meet required production standards.

Responsibility

  • Supervises employees on preparation of ingredients, production, machinery operation and packaging of the food products.
  • Guide and train employees on the use of the cooking equipment and coordinate provision of appropriate training where needed.
  • Ensure that procedures for suppliers, equipment, work areas are in compliance to the established standards.
  • Ensure correctness of food quantities, keeping food wastage to minimum.
  • Monitor the set-up of work stations for cleanliness and safety compliance with local regulations and company requirements.
  • Ensure that food hygiene and safety standards are maintained and comply.
  • Preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
  • Keep up to date with the current promotions and new items in the menu.
  • Monitors equipment performance levels and conducts basic equipment troubleshooting.
  • Execute any other duties as assigned.
  • Require to store travel

Skills

  • Possess capability to lead, motivate and manage subordinates
  • Good command of spoken English and BM
  • PC literate with knowledge in MS Office

Education

Min. Professional Certificate in Culinary Arts or any related fields

Experience

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of professional experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in management of Kitchen Team, Food Cost and Food Quality control.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,100.00 per month
