About the Role: Design Operations Executive role entails responsibilities in assisting MD streamlining processes, resource management, collaboration within team and ecosystem, quality control, production management aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
DESIGN
· Assist to oversee and manage a variety of projects under the guidance of the MD and Business Development team.
· Assist MD with compilation of pitches, proposals and tender ensuring the quality and qualifications are in place.
· Engage in competent discussions with client/team members/partners about design-related topics, coordinate and clearly communicate these objectives to the team.
· Assist MD to ensure the project team maintains a high standard of design quality, including mentoring and coaching junior designers to foster teamwork and skill development.
· Assist to ensure all projects adhere to Malaysian building regulations, including local Building-By-Laws, while effectively space planning.
· Provide clear and coherent project status reports to superiors.
· Be accountable for quality control of all design documentation delivered to clients.
OPERATIONS
· Reporting to the Managing Director and assist to oversee the complete range of tasks assigned by the MD.
· Assist MD with company’s administrative and finance matters, as well collaboration with Group of Companies, HR, Admin and Finance team.
· Assist MD to analyze team performance data to inform decision-making and process improvements.
· Assist MD in managing tools and technology which covers evaluation and implementation as well as collaboration with Group of Companies, Digital and technology and operations team.
· Assist in refining the operation workflows, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on project timelines and deliverable.
· Assist in establishing quality control standards, conducting design reviews, and maintaining documentation of processes will be key tasks.
· Build relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and act as a liaison between design teams and other Group of Companies (GOCs).
· Drive and execute tasks in alignment with the company’s planning, strategies, and collaborative efforts to achieve targets.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Interior Design
- 3-5 years in related working experience
- Understanding of design processes and workflow
- Possess good proficiency in software applications such as Auto-CAD, Sketch-up and the Microsoft Office
- Have a solid understanding of design principles, current trends, construction methodologies, and the appropriate use of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
