  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Summary

Oversee and follow up on parts development of vehicle part localisation activities initial study, planning and development until local part adoption at each trial stage to meet principal's specification and requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Feasibility study of all local parts localisation from technical aspects, supplier's capability and the parts development schedule at initial project stage.
  • To compile the local suppliers and resources to promote new model sourcing plan to principal for localisation of parts.
  • To improve or maintain current and new potential Malaysia supplier's quality level to meet principal's Standard Supplier Assessment Criteria to increase localization opportunity from time to time.
  • To manage and monitor the parts development to ensure smooth progress to meet stringent specification and conformance for all local parts during Engineering Trial, Production Trial and Mass Production. Support quality issues troubleshooting and improvement activities together with suppliers.
  • To manage suppliers and perform risk management study and countermeasures accordingly.
  • To work closely with internal related departments, suppliers and brand principal for smooth implementation of ECN.
  • To promote VAVE & cost reduction activities on the local parts with Parts Costing team together with suppliers.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a recognized Degree in Engineering or any related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years working experience in automotive industry with components manufacturing processes knowledge such as stamping, plastic injection moulding, rubber extrusion, tooling, machines & equipment.
  • In depth technical understanding of automotive design and development processes, production, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Results oriented, excellent problems solving skills, planning & organizing skills, analytical and driven individual.
