Senior Production Engineer

Position Summary

To play an active role in ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable production from the crude operations (primary roles) and gas production hub and comply with company and regulatory requirements and standards. Technical support to Offshore and Onshore Operations regarding all aspects of production, flow assurance and projects.

Accountable for providing flow assurance technical guidance including selection and optimization of chemicals to mitigate flow assurance problems, monitoring of performance and providing directions on tackling key flow assurance challenges.

Provide support in the development of tender plans and contracts, and whenever necessary, assume the role of Contract Site Representative (CSR) for applicable contracts.

Principle Accountabilities

1. HSSE - To ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable production and fulfill KPOC obligation of no harm to people and environment. Provide a culture of fostering the development, implementation and continuous improvement of systems protecting the Health, Safety and Security of Operations personnel and protection of the Environment through personal leadership and accountability. Ensure HSE safety leadership mindset is cascaded to the team and take highest precedence.
2. Responsible for providing engineering expertise for the operation and optimization of oil and gas production and processing hubs including the associated pipelines.
3. Operate in compliance with and according to the directions, standards, policies, procedures, and methods stipulated by the Company, Governing Standard and Regulator.
4. Support the development of proposals related to equipment upgrading, facilities overhauling, implementation of advanced equipment and techniques for the oil and gas hub.
5. Review, revise and develop operating envelopes, process operating guides, and Operations Management System.
6. Support the Production and Maintenance Team from flow assurance perspectives.
7. Provide specialist technical support for Production Operations, Technical Services & Maintenance to continuously improve all operations assurance plans and activities.
8. Provide support roles on the development of standards / documentation associated with operations assurance.
9. Delivering increased levels of safe production on the asset through optimization, debottlenecking, and reliability-related improvements.
10. Contribute to monitoring of production performance for integrated systems of reservoir-wells-flowline-process facilities for the gas hub and crude hub.
11. Provide support on well integrity related matters by working closely with production engineers, WRFM and Wells Team.
12. Lead investigations into production issues and non-conformances to identify and correct root causes as part of the production operations improvement plan.
13. Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production in a safe manner.
14. Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
15. Provide daily reports that effectively communicate the daily production and injection status of the crude hub, and the production operations engineering adjustments, as necessary, to optimize production and minimize excursions.
16. Actively participate in Hazard Identification exercises (HAZID), Hazard Analysis exercises (HAZOP), identification of Safety Critical Measurement (Critical Tasks, Critical Elements, Critical Equipment).
17. Working with Joint Ventures and third-party contractors on operations related agreements (processing, gathering, compression, flaring) and other Joint Venture related issues; to ensure that all HSSE, Production, Maintenance, Integrity, and Marine related processes meet company and regulatory standards.
18. Participate as a member of the onshore Incident Notification Reporting Team and High Potential Incidents.
19. Safe and efficient plant reinstatement following shutdown or maintenance activity.
20. Participate as required with investigations into unplanned shutdown and in RCA process to reduce ongoing losses and eliminate repeated shortfall events.
21. Ensures technical decisions are in-line with best practice and meets KPOC Standards and Guidelines ensuring correct communications, approvals and guidance are sought from onshore and offshore support team.
22. Support Production Chemist by tracking, reporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing chemical programs for the gas and oil hub.
23. Monitor to ensure that export product meets quality, pipeline and overboard water specifications.
