Electrical Project Engineer

Responsibilities: • Involve in the planning and coordination of project development works from conceptualization, design and construction to completion within the established budget, schedule and quality standards. • Involve in the design, cost estimation and procurement. • Coordinate with project stakeholders; clients, consultants, local authorities, sub‐contractors, suppliers, etc to ensure the quality of work is up to specified requirements. • Attend all Client, consultant, or sub‐contractor meetings as required to ensure the successful delivery of the project. • Attend commercial/budget meetings as necessary such as tender interviews, cost‐cutting workshops, and value engineering meetings. • Report and escalate to management as needed. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Daily Tasks: • Coordination and Management: You will be responsible for coordinating and managing various electrical projects, including ensuring that deadlines are met, budgets are maintained, and all work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards. • Design and Planning: You will work closely with consultant, other engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure the design electrical systems meet the specific needs of each project. This may include review/generate electrical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. • Material Selection and Procurement: You will be responsible for selecting the right materials for each project and ensuring that they are procured on time and within budget (if required). Besides that, you are required to review/process the materials submitted by sub-contractor. • Project Documentation: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation for each project, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders. • Communication: You will communicate with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that all work is completed to their satisfaction. • Ensure all electrical projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Project Management (in the construction industry) • Willing to travel and possess own transport. • Knowledge of Spreadsheet software, Word processing software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft • Project. • Good communication and writing skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English • Multi‐tasking, problem‐solving skills and being a team player. • Knowledge of Electrical & ELV design for building construction works.
