Cost Controller

Key Responsibilities: 1. Cost Management and Analysis: o Develop and maintain cost management processes and systems. o Analyze project costs and monitor expenditures to ensure they are in line with the budget. o Identify areas where costs can be optimized or reduced. 2. Budgeting: o Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasts. o Track budget changes and provide updates to relevant stakeholders. o Ensure that budget guidelines are followed throughout the project lifecycle. 3. Financial Reporting: o Prepare regular financial reports and analysis to provide insights into the project's cost performance. o Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports as required. o Present findings and recommendations to senior management. 4. Cost Control: o Monitor cost performance and provide early warning of any significant variances. o Implement cost control measures to keep expenditures within the approved budget. o Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new projects or changes to existing projects. 5. Vendor and Contractor Management: o Review and approve vendor invoices and contracts to ensure they are aligned with budgetary requirements. o Work closely with procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and contractors. 6. Risk Management: o Identify potential risks related to cost overruns and financial issues. o Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential issues. o Discuss with the technical/sales teams on the cost before equipment are proposed or used 7. Documentation and Compliance: o Ensure that all financial transactions and cost documentation are recorded accurately. o Maintain compliance with internal financial procedures and external regulations. o Conduct audits to verify the accuracy of cost data and reports.
