About the Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
For a candidate skilled in air conditioning systems and building facilities, it's important to have a mix of technical and practical skills across several domains, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and civil engineering.
- HVAC System Proficiency: Understanding heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems is crucial. This includes installing, repairing, and maintaining these systems, along with troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance.
- Electrical Skills: Ability to diagnose electrical faults in HVAC and building systems, as well as handle electrical installations and repairs.
- Civil Skills: Basic understanding of civil engineering principles can be crucial for tasks related to building facilities, structural assessments, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Plumbing Skills: Knowledge of plumbing systems for maintenance and installation tasks. This can involve working with pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing components
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze issues and come up with effective solutions, especially when it comes to troubleshooting systems and equipment failures.
- Work Schedule: The working hours include Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm, and alternate Saturdays from 7 am to 12 pm, which is a typical schedule for maintenance and facilities roles.
What You’ll Need:
- Technical education background in HVAC / Mechanical with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Preferred candidates who stay in George Town, Pulau Pinang.
- Preferred candidates who possess own transport.
- Willing to be on call 24 hours for any breakdowns (OT is claimable)
