In This Role You Will

  • Closely coordinate with each dealer in the Region on behalf of Reliable Controls to earn and sustain the reputation for having the most satisfied customers in the building automation industry.
  • Cultivate effective sales professionals and processes in every dealer location in the Region to facilitate sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivate effective business professionals and processes in every dealer location in the Region to facilitate sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide sales, business, application engineering, and technical support to dealers in the Region to support their sustainable success and customer support.
  • Cultivate a dealer network necessary to meet or exceed the objectives of the annual business plan and to grow market share in the Region strategically and sustainably.
  • Facilitate and participate in trade shows and marketing activities to improve the brand awareness and positive perception of Reliable Controls.
  • Cooperate and participate in dealer and customer training classes and activities.
  • Conduct regular and consistent visits with consulting engineers to promote the features and benefits of Reliable Controls and Reliable Controls Authorized Dealers for inclusion in project development and specification.
  • Conduct regular and consistent visits with customers to better understand and respond to their needs and expectations.
  • Regularly participate in industry associations and activities.
  • Prepare, submit, and execute an annual business plan for the Region according to the processes established by Reliable Controls. The plan shall include accurate quarterly and annual sales targets for each dealer. The objective of the plan is to strategically grow Reliable Controls market share consistent with the mandate of the sales team and the mission of Reliable Controls.
  • Consistently meet a minimum of 85% of the sales target established for the Region.
  • Jointly review quarterly sales and expense performance.
  • Assist in defining the criteria for new dealers.
  • Use professional discernment to provide actionable insight to Reliable Controls regarding regional market climates, trends, marketplace requirements, and expectations.

This role might be right for you if you have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a sales capacity, within a building automation environment.
  • Experience in planning, leading, and interacting with a dealer network.
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong business relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and solution-focused mindset.
  • Experience with managing business units or teams is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in the building automation sector.
  • Post-secondary education in business, management, or engineering.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Intrinsic motivation to achieve and surpass annual goals and objectives.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English to effectively communicate with our authorized dealers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • A valid passport and can travel throughout the APAC region and Canada.
