Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Chief Investment Officer and Division Heads, develop growth strategies and agree on identified business opportunities to explore.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of corporate exercises (including mergers & acquisitions, asset monetization, fund raising (debt and equity), business contract negotiations):
  • Lead the evaluation process of potential investment opportunities, mergers & acquisitions, capital projects and business partnership.
  • Lead the due-diligence process including managing internal and external parties to support investment decision-making.
  • Lead in fund raising efforts including participating in roadshows, negotiations with lenders, counsel, and various external parties.
  • Review and provide inputs to other colleagues in preparation of financial reports, presentation decks, information memorandum for senior management, investors, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Participate in negotiations with counterparties and stakeholders to achieve successful conclusion to pursued deal.
  • Manage corporate advisors (investment banks, consultants, solicitors, financial and tax advisers), internal and external parties and regulatory bodies.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other departments, including finance, accounting, operations and legal to gather relevant inputs and information for deal structuring and/or corporate planning purposes.
  • Keep abreast of recent industry trends in renewable energy, toll highway, water treatment and supply, waste management, and other sectors relevant to the business of the Group to proactively identify opportunities and contribute to formulation of business strategy for the Group.
  • Monitor the performance of the business division within the group and provide advisory assistance.
  • Assist in investor relations activities of the group.
  • Attend to any ad-hoc request for the department.

Skill-set requirement:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics related field or accounting/finance professional qualifications e.g ACCA/CPA/CFA or its equivalent.
  • Excellent stakeholder managements skills and ability to communicate with credibility at a senior level.
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking.
  • Good sense of business and commercial focus.
  • Leadership experience, team player and self-initiated.
  • Solid knowledge in valuation, financial analysis and modelling. Prior cross-functional experience in deal structuring and tax planning would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the impact of accounting standards, listing rules and the Companies Act on deal structuring.
  • Ability to communicate effectively complex concepts and analysis to stakeholders of various backgrounds.
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in corporate finance, capital market, fund management, venture capital, accounting/tax or management consulting.
