Job Description:

The Restaurant Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for restaurant staff. This role ensures that all employees are well-trained to provide exceptional customer service, adhere to safety and health standards, and perform their duties efficiently. The specialist works closely with the Training manager and Operation Department to identify training needs and develop tailored training solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development:

  • Design, develop, and update training materials, including manuals, online modules, and videos.
  • Create training programs that cover various aspects of restaurant operations, including customer service, food safety, Bar, Dim Sum and kitchen operations, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Training Delivery:

  • Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing staff, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Use various training methods, such as on-the-job training, classroom training, and e-learning, to accommodate different learning styles.

Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance evaluations.
  • Continuously update training materials and methods based on feedback and industry best practices.

Support and Guidance:

  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to restaurant staff to reinforce training and address any performance issues.
  • Work with management to identify skill gaps and recommend additional training or development opportunities.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all training programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and update training materials accordingly.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and employee progress.
  • Prepare regular reports on training outcomes and provide management insights.

Job requirements:

  • Possess relevant academic qualifications, diploma, or degree in any field, preferably Hospitality and Culinary.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the F&B industry or related field.
