Inviting applications for the role of Senior RTR Manager (Ops Manager)

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Record to Report function in a BPO environment. Managing a RTR team and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient operations. This role involves strategic planning, process optimization, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver high-quality service. As the RTR Operations Manager will also drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage performance, and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

  • To lead a team of record to report (R2R) team and balance month end, quarter end, and year end – preparation, be responsible for smooth execution and ensure books are closed on time.
  • Ensure all month end activities are completed within agreed time and of the highest quality and ensure Service Levels are met.
  • Balance aligned Sub-Processes (as applicable).
  • Leadership and Team Management – providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management to ensure team success. Develop talent within the team, focusing on career development and succession planning.
  • Oversee the execution of the end-to-end Record to Report process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to accounting policies.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow and issue resolution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding RTR services, ensuring effective communication and relationship management. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, align service delivery, and address any concerns or improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage SLAs, ensuring the team meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization across the RTR function. Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Proactively manage operational risks by identifying and addressing potential issues in the RTR process.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  • Charter accountant / chartered management accountant qualified or part qualified, with a bachelor's degree in accounting with relevant experience (including the activities noted above)
  • Must have the ability to lead teams and is responsible for delivering productivity, reducing costs and controlling quality of Services delivered.
  • Strong communication and ability to interact with the controllers and auditors - internal and external
  • Work Experience Requirements at least 10 years in RTR operations
  • ACCA certified or relevant professional accounting certs

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Experience with SAP will be an advantage.
  • SSC, audit or BPO experience is preferred.
