Project Overview: The shift to online learning has opened up vast opportunities to understand and enhance the learning experience through data. Our research focuses on bridging the gap between learning analytics and pedagogical practices in higher education. By using both learning analytics and Q methodology, we aim to explore how educators use data to improve their teaching strategies and deepen their understanding of pedagogical maturity.

Position Details: As a Graduate Research Assistant, you will:

  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and interpretation using learning analytics and Q methodology.
  • Collaborate with the research team on designing surveys, conducting interviews, and managing data.
  • Support the dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations.
  • Must be willing to be enrolled in a PhD program under the FRGS (Fundamental Research Grant Scheme) grant. Enrollment in this program is a requirement for the position.

Requirements:

  • This position is only open to Malaysian citizens only.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Education, Data Science, Learning Analytics, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in educational research and analytics.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Eligibility and willingness to enroll in a PhD program under the FRGS grant.
