Client: TUI - Airline Holidays, based Bangsar, is a fully-owned subsidiary of TUI Group providing end-to-end holiday package solutions for some of the world's best airlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Develop and maintain a product vision and strategy that aligns with company goals and market demands within the travel and tourism sector.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis specific to travel products and services to inform product decisions and roadmap prioritization.

• Product Backlog Management:

  • Own and manage the product backlog for systems in either supplier content platforms (e.g. Juniper, Amadeus), booking platforms or payment systems, ensuring it reflects the most valuable work for the team.
  • Write clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritize features based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute go-to-market strategies for travel-related products and services.

• Product Development:

  • Work closely with engineering and design teams throughout the development process to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of booking flows, ancillary services, and payment systems.
  • Make data-driven decisions, using analytics and customer feedback to iterate on product features.

• Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to travel systems (e.g., conversion rates, ancillary revenue, payment success rates) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct post-launch analysis and gather feedback to inform future development and product iterations.

• Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Product Owners and other team members within the travel domain.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the product team.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a senior role within the travel and tourism industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering successful products within travel booking systems, hotel supplier platforms, or payment gateways.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of product development processes, agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) specific to travel technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders within the travel domain.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure product success.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, specifically for travel-related products.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
