- Assist in quantity taking off, payment contractual claims, contract administration, and tendering.
- Implement all policies, activities, procedures, and instructions as relevant and required under the quality system.
- Prepare variation orders and cost impact estimates.
- Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.
- Ensure compliance and implementation of all procedures pertaining to the handling of the main tender.
- Implement, assess, and review contracts.
- Follow up on material purchased for delivery.
- Manage work packages contractor procurement.
- Prepare monthly sub-contractor's claims.
- Handle final accounts.
- Advise Project Manager/Site Agent on work packages/work to award to meet construction programs.
- Conduct stock checks.
- Inform Project Manager/Site Agent about discrepancies in quantity and quality of supplied materials.
- Manage cost, drawings, and document control.
- Handle material requisitioning prior to ordering materials.
- Update and maintain material delivery and usage records.
- Must possess at least a Post Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
- Should be conversant with MS Office, particularly well-versed in working with Excel spreadsheets (added advantage).
- Able to communicate in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin.
- Must be willing to be transferred to other Site Offices if needed.
- Experience in taking off quantities for building (added advantage).
- Undertake and carry out work with responsibility and attention to detail.
- Good planning skills and willingness to learn and take up challenges.
- Preferably candidates specializing in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of building-related project working experience as a QS is required for this position.
