About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in debt financing, fundraising, and corporate finance. As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's financial health, providing strategic financial guidance, and leading critical financial initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and compliance. Ensure financial controls, policies, and procedures are in place and adhered to.
  • Manage and oversee tax issues and ensure compliance with all taxes
  • Manage cash flow and working capital effectively.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and cash management.
  • Manage financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team
  • Provide financial leadership in corporate exercises, such as restructuring, refinancing, IPOs, or capital market activities, ensuring successful execution and alignment with corporate strategies.

About you

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in senior financial roles, ideally within the logistics industry or a related sector.
  • Proven experience in driving change to improve operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a large finance team (15+ members)
  • Exposure to corporate exercises such as IPO or other forms of fundraising (advantageous).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • An excellent understanding of relevant laws and regulations as well as technical accounting standards.
  • A track record of implementing and maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels, both within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Confident presentation skills and proven ability in report writing.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a strong track record of building, mentoring, and empowering high-performing teams to achieve organizational financial goals.
