Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Factory Manager to spearhead the modernization and expansion of our factory operations. You will oversee the planning, procurement, installation, and maintenance of plant and machinery, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in driving our factory's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
  • Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.
  • Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers.
  • Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
  • Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.
  • Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
  • Motivating factory workers to continuously achieve factory targets.

Plant and Machinery Modernization:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing plant and machinery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement modernization plans, including the selection, procurement, and installation of state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and optimal terms for equipment purchases.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of new equipment.

Maintenance and Lifecycle Management:

  • Establish and oversee a robust maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Implement predictive maintenance strategies to anticipate equipment failures and schedule maintenance accordingly.

Budget Management and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage budgets for plant and machinery investments, maintenance, and operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization, energy efficiency measures, and vendor negotiations.
  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure adherence to budget guidelines.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans to minimize disruptions in case of emergencies or unforeseen events.
  • Ensure that backup systems and procedures are in place to protect critical data and operations.
  • Conduct regular drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of factory operations personnel, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to deliver exceptional results.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory, preferably in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in plant and machinery maintenance, procurement, and installation in collaboration with the maintenance team.
  • Proficiency or certification in manufacturing processes & inventory management, equipment troubleshooting, and quality control.
  • Fluency in English, and Persian languages (both verbal and written). The language proficiency requirement is crucial for effective communication with suppliers, customers, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
