Key Responsibilities:
Costing & Pricing Analysis:
- Conduct detailed costing analysis for various hospital services and procedures.
- Develop and maintain accurate cost allocation models, ensuring that all direct and indirect costs are accounted for.
- Analyze pricing structures and recommend adjustments to optimize revenue without compromising on quality of care.
- Prepare financial models to assess the impact of pricing changes on profitability and competitiveness.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes at the management level.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Support the development of the hospital’s annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with clinical and administrative departments to gather data and provide financial guidance.
- Assist in the financial evaluation of new services, projects, or investments.
Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, preferred with at least 2 years in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in costing and pricing analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of hospital finance, including costing methodologies and pricing strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
