What you’ll be doing:

• Work as business partner with Regional General Manager of SEA & Australia (Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Australia), provide support for business development and operations. Responsible for detailed analysis of business performance and risk assessment on tax and financial planning, cost management, budgeting.
• Leadership role and responsible for delivering and ensuring the integrity of the financial records and accounts of the region (month-end close, local and regional audited accounts) , enforce financial controls, tax compliance, coordinate treasury matters for the region with leadership support from HQ Finance.
• Closely with HQ-Finance and local finance team.
• A key member of the regional executive senior management team.

Financial Accounting and Others

• Leadership role and responsible for delivering and ensuring the integrity of the financial records and accounts of the region (month-end close, local and regional audited accounts) , enforce financial controls, tax and finance related regularity requirement compliance and meeting due date, coordinate treasury matters for the region.
• Work with HQ-Finance, Local Finance and GSC-Finance and local management to ensure integrity of the financial records and in accordance with Group Finance and accounting policies and operating manual.
• Working in direct and close relationship with Local Finance, and Global Procurement team in Head Office and/or Global Services Centre (GSC), monitor the work of Local Finance and procurement function, supervise local finance lead in appointing external accounting firm (where applicable), local external auditor, and ensuring the work is done and completed timely and to quality.
• Responsible for ensuring all local finance and accounting statutory requirements are met in timely manner eg: local audited accounts, corporate tax filling, etc. Keep updated on the local statutory requirements and accounting standards.
• Working closely with the local finance team to enhance the process flow for financial accounting and related matters.
• Evaluate the Balance Sheets of each entities in the region and raise the abnormalities to the Regional General Manager.
• Financial Controls: Constantly review and ensure the entire local business and processes have adequate financial controls in place and where they are not, raise it with respective stakeholders including Regional General Manager, country PIC to ensure they take action to implement adequate controls. Where material or needed, escalate these matter directly to Internal Audit and CFO.
• Perform cost review to ensure resources of the business are well utilized and cost are well managed in partnership with Regional General Manager and local PIC.
• Liaise with HQ Finance, and the local relationship owner for these local relationships: banks, appointed external accounting firm, external auditor, tax authority, legal, and corporate secretarial firm for the countries in the region.

Management Accounting and Business Partnering

• As finance business partner, work with the Regional General Manager and management to drive the financial performance of the business.
• Prepare monthly regional management reports and perform variance analysis and commentary for the presentation to HQ, and monitor the financial performance of the business; anticipate and communicate and influence stakeholders to action.
• Consolidate financial data, business KPls, and review and analyses monthly financial reports for all outlets within the region. Work with local finance team and local management to ensure integrity of the financial numbers.
• Work with Regional General Manager, local finance team and Country PIC to prepare the annual budget, financial projections, CAPEX analysis, DCF analysis to support business development requirements.
• Maintain good relationship with Regional General Manager, local PIC and management team support them in meeting with airport authorities and clients.
• This position requires travel to network locations.

About you:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree,
• Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent, with a sharp analytical mind
• Professionally Qualified accountant
• At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field and position is required for this position, preferably in MNC's or international audit firms
• Strong technical accounting competencies accounting, controllership and risk management skill
• Analytical, and good commercial/business sense coupled with strong financial controls sense.

• Mature, articulate, well-organized, responsible, detail-minded and self-motivated
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure and resilient.
• Leadership, managerial and supervisory, and good interpersonal skills is mandatory
• Conversant in English and local language, both written and spoken
• Competent in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other standards office software.
