Assistant Manager, Demand Planning Our client is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager for Demand Planning. This role is integral to the company's future direction and key decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, advising, and challenging the business to create a line forecast that all can agree upon.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Manager in Demand Planning, your role will be pivotal in shaping the company's future direction. You will be at the forefront of producing scientifically based operational forecasts and managing integrated sales forecasting. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be put to use as you analyze the root cause of forecast errors and devise effective action plans. You will also work closely with Supply planning to synchronize demand & supply, ensuring smooth operations. Your ability to generate long-term forecasts will enable informed business decisions. Furthermore, your innovative thinking will contribute to improving current Demand Planning Processes.

  • Lead discussions with a team (SCM, Marketing & Sales) to produce a scientifically based operational forecast and annual business plan.
  • Manage the process of integrated sales forecasting and S&OP.
  • Review of Promotions / New Products Forecasting.
  • Improve Forecast Accuracy by analyzing root cause of forecast error.
  • Discuss and develop action plan for clearance stocks.
  • Ensure roll-over of demand plan on monthly basis.
  • Work closely with Supply planning for the synchronization of demand & supply.
  • Generate 18 months rolling forecast and analyse gaps between sales forecast, demand forecast, and in market sales target.
  • Identify action improvement in current Demand Planning Process.
  • Support regional or global introduction of new planning system or process.

What You Bring

As an ideal candidate for the Assistant Manager in Demand Planning position, you bring a strong background in demand planning within the FMCG industry. Your academic qualifications coupled with at least 8 years of related forecasting/supply planning experience make you a strong contender for this role. Your analytical prowess and leadership skills are essential for this position.

  • Strong background in demand planning of FMCG industry.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent plus a minimum of 8 years of related forecasting/supply planning experience.
  • S&OP experience is preferable.
  • Strong analytical skill and leadership skill.
  • PC Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SAP.
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with internal & external business partners.
