Procurement Executive

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Executive to join our client's team and support their engineering and marketing departments in project procurement, tendering, and supplier management. The role involves sourcing materials and equipment, negotiating with sub-contractors, and ensuring timely delivery to project sites. This is a key position to optimize procurement costs and maintain high supplier standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support design and marketing depts in project tendering, preparing price quotation and project procurement/sourcing plan.
• Source, select and bargain with sub-contractors or suppliers to get the best rate to reduce project cost.
• Collect project site purchasing requirements, place order, track logistics to ensure materials be shipped to project site in time.
• Certify sub-contractors and suppliers, handle contract, follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery/installation, and handle purchase and payment process.
• Conduct regular evaluation of sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Collect and document files during the whole procurement process.
  
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Quantity Surveying, Engineering Management, Logistics Management, or a related field.
• Min. 1-3 years of experience of civil construction or M&E projects, particularly in industrial plant projects.
• Familiar with materials, equipment demands, supply chains in China and Malaysia, device brands, pricing, and logistics processes, including tariffs and device certification.
• Understand the related demands of materials and equipment in the engineering industry.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
• Fluent in both English and Malay; proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
