Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a College Lecturer at Peninsula College Malaysia in Batu Kawan,Penang. The College Lecturer will be responsible for delivering lectures, conducting tutorials, developing course materials, assessing student work, and mentoring students in their academic journey.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Conduct teaching and provide academic support, ensuring that programmes are delivered in accordance with the prescribed standards and quality.
• Develop, review, and update all learning materials in compliance with the syllabus and curriculum.
• Participate in the development, administration, and marking of exams and other assessments.
• Monitor student progress in terms of academic performance and attendance.
• Provide academic counselling and pastoral care to all students.
• Participate in professional forums, seminars, and training to keep abreast of technological developments and market demands.
• Carry out and supervise research and scholarly work in the specific discipline and engage in academic publication.
• Engage in the preparation of MQA documents for accreditation.
• Assist in establishing linkages with external organisations and professional bodies in academic-related matters.
• Perform any other administrative duties as required from time to time by the Deputy Chief Executive (Academics) or Line Manager.
  

Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
• Strong command of both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• At least two years of teaching experience in diploma and degree programmes. Candidates with industrial experience will have an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in enhancing student experiences and recruitment.
• Well-versed in government policies and regulations related to higher education institutions.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Proven track record in research and publications.
• Position based in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia.
