  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tourism Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in tourism-related subjects, developing curriculum materials, and engaging students in innovative and interactive learning experiences. The lecturer will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the tourism program and foster a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach tourism-related courses to diploma and degree students, ensuring curriculum alignment with industry standards.
  • Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments that reflect current trends in the tourism industry.
  • Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, exams, and practical activities, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on tourism industry trends, integrating relevant insights into course content.
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, supporting their educational and career development.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the tourism program.
  • Engage in professional development activities to maintain and enhance subject matter expertise.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and participate in program review processes.
  • Network with industry professionals to establish partnerships and promote internship or job placement opportunities for students.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or PhD in Tourism Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in higher education.
  • Industry experience in tourism or hospitality is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and tools.
  • Knowledge of sustainable tourism practices.
  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • Ability to conduct research and publish in academic journals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
