Job Summary:

If you are in Project Administration and Documentation field, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! As the Document Controller, you will collaborate and support Quality Planning and Specification Team for large projects in Asia Pacific. We value autonomy, self-reliance, fast movers, a passion for robust and maintainable tests, and above all, the ability to perform customer review in a timely manner.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • To learn and master the process of handling Spec review in JAMA Connect.
  • Develop & maintain training material on Jama process
  • Maintain online archive for customer specification
  • Conducting the Spec Evaluation Meeting and sorting out the specs with the internal Stakeholders.
  • Assign the specs to all the relevant internal collaborators of the project as per Reviewer Assignment such as QPS, Industry sales, Emerson Sales office, Application Engineers etc.
  • Crafting the PMF-091 form and load the project specs to JAMA BOT input folder
  • Facilitate Project spec review completion in Jama Connect within specified time frame to meet quotation deadline.
  • Manage “reuse” specification and Emerson comments for end user / EPC
  • Generate the reports & deviation list for PMO team for submittal to customer.
  • Incorporate Emerson return comments/requirements into Jama to import after clarity meeting back into Jama.
  • Purchase order reconciliation - Drive follow-up meeting to wrap up the open points with the respective partners
  • Able to interpret QPS's spec review comments and have basic knowledge on OEDII options/ SPG/ CSP concepts.
  • Able to work with multi-discipline customers to drive solution and close all technical points in Spec review before project award.
  • Maintain Jama Connect database and accountable for revision control of project specifications and respective spec reviews.

You actively seek input from pertinent sources to make timely and well-informed decisions. Works collaboratively with project managers and Factory personals to resolve conflicts if it may arise.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • In depth knowledge of control valve products and industry application
  • Knowledge on Fisher products and accessories would be a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in control valves engineering
  • Good understanding of product specifications and Incoterms
  • Develop and present innovative solutions for problems if they may arise.
  • Optimizes work processes and improves performance metrics.
  • Awareness of other Emerson products & Good knowledge of Inactive/obsolete/Competitor products
  • Should be an effective teammate for on-timely project submission

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering
  • Knowledge on non destructive test & material
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ready to take up any new challenges.
  • Time management, Problem Solving and decision-making Skills.
