JOB TITLE: INTERNSHIP SUBSURFACE (RESERVOIR ENGINEERING)

Key Responsibilities

  • PM304: Carry out well & reservoir analysis using OFM database software. Scope includes QC-ing of input, creating functions & variables for DCA analysis, bubble maps and standardisation of plots for Cendor, East Cendor, West Desaru and Irama production performance analysis.
  • East Cendor/ Irama: Prepare MBAL input and develop a multi-reservoir model to simulate production/injection performance.
  • PM304: Consolidation of well test database followed by nodal analysis through PROSPER application to validate well tests and propose well optimization.
  • PM304: Preparation of production data input to develop daily production losses identification, monitoring, reporting and proposal for production optimization.
  • PM304: Prepare ODU (Online Data Uploader) submission to PETRONAS. Scope includes data QC, tracking of progress, loading of data, ensuring quality submission for PM304 fields.

Essential Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 3.3/4 or above to be eligible for the internship.
  • Familiarity with and ability to apply basic petroleum engineering principles.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites (Excel, Word & Power Point).
  • Experience with industry standard software such as MBAL (material balance), Prosper (well modelling), Saphir (well test analysis), and OFM will be an advantage.
  • Must be proactive & resourceful.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and ask questions when in doubt (good communication skills).
  • Be able to work effectively with good time management.
  • Able to present ideas/deliverables in a concise and clear manner during technical presentations.
