  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Purpose

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing civil engineering support for facility design projects, ensuring all engineering contractors comply with the project scope and design standards. This role involves the review of deliverables, managing contractor outputs, and ensuring alignment with project objectives and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in developing the civil engineering design basis for projects.
  • Review project standards, specifications, and propose any deviations from corporate standards to the Discipline Lead.
  • Assist in evaluating vendor equipment performance and associated guarantees.
  • Review and raise concession requests related to civil engineering to the Discipline Lead for approval.
  • Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects into the current design and ensure relevant feedback is addressed.
  • Define and establish requirements for civil engineering deliverables within the project.
  • Review and ensure that design comments are properly incorporated into final deliverables.
  • Participate in key project reviews, such as HAZID, HAZOP, and model reviews, providing technical input from a civil engineering perspective.
  • Monitor the progress of civil engineering deliverables, and escalate potential schedule overruns to the Discipline Lead for corrective action.
  • Contribute to the management of change processes by reviewing engineering changes and proposals.
  • Participate in procurement processes by evaluating technical submissions related to civil engineering.
  • Support the development of operational and maintenance manuals for the civil aspects of the project.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Preferably a Chartered or Professional Engineer.
  • At least 10 years of civil engineering experience, within the oil and gas sector.
