JOB PURPOSE:
The overall purpose of this job is:
- To support the creation and expansion of Agrobank’s Corporate Transformation Plan (CTP). To meet this purpose, the scope of this job includes supporting the process of establishing a Takaful entity from inception to operationalisation:
- Formulate the strategic initiatives to establish a Takaful entity
- Design and deliver the end-to-end target operating model for Takaful business.
- Prepare relevant approval papers for internal and external stakeholders’ endorsement.
- Prepare and execute proper development plan to meet the company’s business target
QUALIFICATIONS:
Min Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or related discipline
Relevant Experience Required
- Minimum 10 years of working experience. At least 5 years’ experience with insurance, banca, wealth management, and/or financial services.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Experienced in preparing and appraising business plans and proposals for a new business venture.
- Familiar with insurance/takaful business particularly on the Regulatory and Supervisory Framework, Shariah governance, Risk-based Capital Framework and Takaful Operational Framework
- Exposure and experience in agriculture takaful/insurance would be highly advantageous.
- Experience with organizational transformation.
- Driver & self-starter – an ability to demonstrate initiative, independent, solution-oriented mindset.
- Customer focused – an ability to understand and anticipate customer’s perspectives and needs.
- Collaboration and networking – comfortable working with others to accomplish shared goals and objectives.
- Systematic and integrative thinking with an ability to connect the dots on a macro basis.
- Creative and able to come up with out of the box solutions and ideas.
- Effective communication – possess excellent ability to express thoughts orally and in writing with good interpersonal skills, communications, relationship building and presentation skills.
- Agile and versatile – an ability to respond positively, is flexible and quick to adapt to changes in work processes, environment, culture, and priorities.
- Competent with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel and other collaboration & communication tools.
