Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Key Purposes and Strategic Outcomes of the Role: We seek a strategic sales leader to drive revenue growth and build a high-performing sales team. This role demands a proven ability to lead and motivate sales teams, develop top talent, and foster strong customer relationships. Success in this position requires a data-driven approach to optimize sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.


1. Sales and Marketing

  • Lead Pipeline: Collaborate with marketing to turn leads into sales and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Sales Alignment: Ensure sales strategies match marketing campaigns and key messaging for a unified approach.
  • Sales Enablement: Work with marketing to develop sales tools that address customer pain points.
  • Measure Performance: Analyse data from both sales and marketing to optimize efforts.
  • Marketing Relationships: Build strong relationships with marketing for a collaborative sales and marketing environment.


2. Technical Advisory and Solution Advocate

  • Technical Expertise and Coaching: Equip the team with in-depth product knowledge and train them to provide technical advice to clients.
  • Solution Architecting: Work with sales reps to understand customer needs and architect solutions that address their specific technical challenges.
  • Competitive Analysis and Differentiation: Conduct competitive analysis to identify MT solution's strengths and weaknesses. Coach the team to effectively position MT product against competitors.
  • Proof of Concepts and Demos: Lead the development of compelling technical demonstrations showcasing the value proposition to potential clients.
  • Customer Advocacy and Relationships: Become a trusted advisor to clients, fostering strong technical relationships and advocating for MT solution throughout the sales cycle.


3. Service Standards and Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure and Implement High Service Standards: Augment MT service standards that ensure exceptional customer experiences throughout the sales cycle and beyond. Train the team to deliver on these standards consistently.
  • Customer Onboarding and Success: Develop a smooth onboarding process for new customers and ensure their success by providing ongoing support and resources.
  • Proactive Customer Relationship Management: Coach the team to actively manage customer relationships, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Identify and Address Customer Issues: Develop processes to identify and address customer concerns promptly and effectively. Ensure the team can resolve issues efficiently.
  • Customer Feedback and Improvement: Actively collect customer feedback and translate it into actionable insights to improve service standards and overall customer satisfaction.

Technical Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
  • Degree in any Science/Engineering or related field from a reputable University.
  • At least 5 years working experience in a sales position in a leadership capacity with 2 - 5 direct reports.
  • Instrumentation and/or laboratory sales or technical experience would be preferred.
  • Able to network across all levels and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, result oriented and energetic with passion to succeed.
  • Sound business acumen particularly in identifying potentials and devising solutions to need.
  • Other desired values includes a high quality of standard, aggressiveness, agility and critical reasoning.
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia as and when required.
  • Possess own transport with a valid driving license.
Preferred:
  • Sales experience of laboratory analytical and thermal analysis instruments, i.e., auto titration, Karl Fischer titration, density meter, refractometer, melting point, dropping point, ultraviolet–visible spectrophotometry, etc.
